Governmental scholarship for Melvin

As it was reported earlier, Melvin Akumu, whose studies were supported by a Hungarian sponsor in the Boston Children Centre, achieved excellent results at the primary school’s final exam with her 406 points – tied – she has become the best student.

The Office of the Deputy President and also the wife of the First Deputy President, Rachel Ruto took notice of Metrin’s outstanding performance and she was offered a scholarship for her secondary education in the well known Butere Girls High School, where she will continue her studies.

This is a great opportunity to Melvin to go on higher education after high school.

We are very proud of Melvin and it is a special pleasure for us that we could contribute to this excellent result by a Hungarian sponsor. We wish all the best to Melvin as per her further studies, and we also wish her a successful, happy life!

We thank the previous sponsor for her support and perseverance during the past years.

We are especially grateful to her as she – after the situation of Melvin is resolved – has decided to support another child in need, namely Metrin, in the future, ensuring a new opportunity to another bright, needy little girl.
